What are the different levels and courses?

Levels and modular courses are recommended based on students' interests and public speaking/debate experiences.

We provide different levels of public speaking and debate learning experiences for students with different experiences: Novice, Intermediate, Advanced, Distinguished, and Elite. Different levels have different requirements for students' skills sets. After a student has joined our course, at the end of each season, their DRI coach will recommend a suitable course for the next season. Also, different levels adopt different Public Speaking/Debate formats, for example, in Intermediate Public Speaking, students learn Persuasive Speaking, in Distinguished Debate, students engage in British Parliamentary debate.

Within each level, students can flexibly choose to start with a season that best fits their schedule. Courses are modular so do not need to be taken in any particular order.Although each level focuses on the same Public Speaking/Debate format, each season focuses on different skills. For example, while Novice Season 3 learns about the basis of argumentation and focuses on claims of a C-R-E-I argument, Season 4 learns about the basis of argumentation and focuses on the reasoning part of an argument.
