What if my son/daughter has a coach who is not from USA/England/Canada/a native English speaking country?

Our answer to this question hasn't changed for many years, but maybe is worth repeating:

LearningLeaders is a public speaking and debate skills coaching organization.  We are not an English training center.  Our coaches come from many countries around the world and come from many different backgrounds.  This is because public speakers and debaters greatly benefit from hearing multiple perspectives, opinions, and sources of feedback on their speeches and ideas.  Both non-native English speakers and English speakers have won the World Championships of Debate and World Championships of Public Speaking.  If your child would like to enroll in an English language course, then we are happy to refer you to another organization who specializes in that.  However, if your child would like to improve their public speaking and debate skills, we don't believe there is a better organization than LearningLeaders with which to do so.

Some parents may also ask about accents.  Our response is generally:

Yes, it's true that many people in the world have accents.  In fact, people living within a country have different accents if they grew up in different regions.  Americans and British and Australians have different accents if they grew up in different regions of their home countries.  Our team of coaches are all able to communicate clearly and effectively with students and we are sure your child will respect them and enjoy working with them.

We are delighted to speak with any parent who would like to learn more about the way we approach diversity in our team.  We've also recorded a video explaining our philosophy in more depth.  You can find it here, for your reference: https://mp.weixin.qq.com/s/HAaV065WJE8z8c88JFVFtg
