What is the language ability of students at LearningLeaders?

Students are not required to be native English speakers, however, a baseline level of English language fluency is needed for students to understand the content and interact with others.

All of our courses are currently taught in English, as such a baseline level of English language fluency is critical for students to optimize their learning potential. Unfortunately, this means that we do have a placement test and interview process which currently defers students whose English language skills are not yet sufficiently developed. We welcome these students to reapply as soon as their skills are developed enough to allow them to fully participate in class.

Of course, like every language and every skill, admitted students are at various places on their language learning journey. The majority of our students come from international schools, however, we do have a substantial number of students from local schools. No matter their home school, all students admitted to LearningLeaders are able to fully participate and reach their maximum potential regardless of where they are on their English language development journey.

In order to foster dialog across the diverse international debate and public speaking community tournaments are held in English. By adopting a common language every individual, no matter their heritage or beliefs, can be heard and understood as an equal. We adopt this philosophy at LearnignLeaders. First In order to provide our students with the best talent from around the world, English his is our primary language of communication in the classroom. Our international experts native tongue varies greatly but by speaking a common English language all our students can benefit from their knowledge. Secondly, to ensure our students thought provoking insights are heard and reverberate in our international community we encourage and foster their English language development.
