Humble beginnings are often signs of auspicious results to come. After 'coffee chats' dozens of parents in Shanghai, 24 students joined LL's initial season in Fall 2014.

LL Students win the China World Schools National Championships for the first time. This would foreshadow dominance in China Debate, as LL students would win Nationals for seven consecutive years.

In a single year, LL students won the World Schools Debating Championships, the Asian and European Championships, the USA National Championships, and the China National Championships. This is arguably the most dominant display of High School debating ever recorded.

The team celebrated five years of delighting and inspiring. Knowing the future of debate and speech was a Skills-first Approach, the team set off on their most ambitious project yet: a comprehensive enhancement of the entire curricula.

LearningLeaders began investing in a proprietary online learning platform in late 2019 and transitioned to remote learning in throughout the Covid-19 pandemic. Learning deeply about best practices for remote learning would pave the way for future investment in online learning tools for students. Along the way we also became a certified B Corp.

LL committed to becoming a remote first organization. Now enrolling hundreds of students from dozens of countries across all online offerings, LearningLeaders is currently the largest debate and public speaking training company in Asia, with team members located on four continents.
