CAN I LEARN DEBATE AND SPEECH ONLINE?
Absolutely. It's Fun!
In fact, nowadays learning debate and public speaking online / remotely is incredibly common. Students from all over the world can even meet each other and learn together. It's awesome.
IS IT BETTER TO LEARN DEBATE AT SCHOOL?
It Depends.
If you have the opportunity to learn at school, do it! Unfortunately, if the faculty member running the club leaves the school - poof! - the program often disappears. This is especially true at international schools. Better to find a reliable and steady organization you know will be around for a long time so all of your hard work doesn't go to waste.
CAN DEBATE AND SPEECH BE EMBARRASSING?
At First, Maybe.
Nothing is easy at the beginning. But over time, you'll gain confidence faster and faster. Soon you'll be giving speeches of 7-10 minutes with little (if any!) preparation. Most of your friends will be afraid of public speaking. It will become effortless to you.
HOW LONG DO I NEED TO PREPARE EACH LESSON?
Just 30-60 minutes.
If you're in high school and really want to perform at a highly competitive level, probably more than that. Generally though, we expect half an hour to an hour of 'homework' for every lesson, which you will typically join once per week at your convenience.
DOES LL OFFER COMPETITIVE TRAINING?
You Bet.
Students who train with LearningLeaders have one the most competitive tournaments in the world, including the World Championships, European Championships, Asian Championships, and USA National Championships, to name a few.
